If you are not in immediate danger, notify the owner or the Boat Manager who performed the handover.
If there is swell, equip the passengers (at least the children) with life jackets.
If the boat has broken down, is drifting and the depth allows it, it is imperative to drop the anchor to immobilize the boat. This will prevent the boat from dangerously approaching an obstacle in the absence of maneuverability. In addition, it will remain in the same location previously indicated to the rescue services.
Reassure the people on board to avoid any additional source of problem.
In case of emergency, contact the CROSS on channel 16 on the VHF radio, or call 112 or 999 (for United Kingdom).
