One-Off Kriter - 1973

Kriter was built in 1973 to compete in the first Whitbread Round the World Race, now called The Ocean Race (formerly the Volvo Ocean Race). She was designed by the famous French yacht designer Georges Auzepy-Brenneur and built by the prestigious Nautic Saintonge Yard in Saujone, France. Kriter was built in 1973 to compete in the first Whitbread Round the World Race, now called The Ocean Race (formerly the Volvo Ocean Race). She was designed by the famous French yacht designer Georges Auzepy-Brenneur and built by the prestigious Nautic Saintonge Yard in Saujone, France. She was named after her sponsor, the French champagne company "Kriter". She finished 3rd in line in the Whitbread and was later refitted for use as a pleasure yacht by her owner. After the race she sailed in the Mediterranean Sea and later also in the West Indies. She was lost in the early 1980s. She was found abandoned in a shipyard in Newport, Rhode Island in the early 2000s but had to be completely restored. After another 3 years of restoration work from 2019 to 2022 she is finally back sailing in the Mediterranean. It is our family home and therefore treated with a lot of love. Kriter comfortably accommodates 6-8 guests plus 2 crew members in three double cabins, one triple and one single. There are a total of three bathrooms. This year we will be sailing mainly in South Sardinia and occasionally in North Sardinia and South Corsica. You can book day trips, weekends or entire weeks. Kriter ospita comodamente 6-8 ospiti più 2 membri dell'equipaggio in tre cabine doppie, una tripla e una singola. Ci sono un totale di tre bagni. Quest'anno navigheremo principalmente nel Sud Sardegna e occasionalmente nel Nord Sardegna e nel Sud della Corsica. Potete prenotare gite di un giorno, week-end o intere settimane.
