We had a fantastic trip with Adam, he was very flexible with the route and timings. Watching the sunset on the boat from Cala Comte is something we’ll never forget!

Absolutely amazing experience! Nick is such a friendly and chatty guy, so many interesting stories I could have listened to him all day. He was a fantastic host and very experienced/knowledgable so we felt really safe on his boat. We did the sunset trip and he took us to his favourite spot to get in the sea and watch the sun set. It was such a relaxed vibe as Nick is so chilled and wanted us to feel at home on his boat. Such a great experience and we would all definitely recommend to anyone looking to take a boat trip in Ibiza :)

The northern area of the Costa Brava is definitely worth a visit. The only downside is the price of buoys in the coves or in Cadaques which is excessive.
La zone nord de la Costa Brava vaut vraiment le détour. Seul bemol le prix des bouées dans les criques ou à Cadaques qui est excessif..

We were in the area and it's a great option for renting for a day. If you want more days, it's better to head south and spend the night in another port.
Estuvimos por la zona y para alquilar un día va muy bien. SI quieres más días es mejor tirar para el sur y hacer noche en otro puerto

Very nice cruising area, with many anchorages, from the small cove to the large sandy beach. The water is incredibly beautiful and warm in August, there are a few people so it is sometimes complicated in the smallest coves but overall it's okay. We went as far as Menorca and frankly, it's worth it, the island is very wild. Lots of dolphins during the crossing.

Do I need a license to hire in Spain?

There are many factors to take into consideration when renting a boat in Spain. First, the type of license will depend on whether you're renting a motorboat or a sailboat. For motorboats, if the boat you wish to drive has more than 15hp and is more than 4 meters in length, you will need a license. If you are chartering a sailboat or a catamaran, you will need a license if the boat is over 5 meters in size.

If you feel you do not have enough experience or you have zero nautical experience, most boats will have the option of renting with a skipper. This way, you can either help with certain manoeuvres or you can just sit back and relax while the skipper captains the boat. Another plus side to having a skipper is that the majority are locals and they know the region like the back of their hand. Ask the skippers for suggestions on local restaurants and hidden coves for an even better sailing route.
