A small town in Upper Corsica, Saint-Flohire lies between Bastia and Ile Rousse and has become one of the island's most popular seaside resorts. Each year its port hosts 790 anchorages, 270 of which are reserved for passing boats. The fishing and yachting port of Saint-Flohire offers all the necessary services: the captain's office, sanitary facilities/showers, careening area, fresh water, electricity, fuel, public telephone, and laundromat; however, access is difficult in strong winds.
Thanks to the Saint-Flohire boat hire, you can access the most beautiful beaches and islands in the region between pebbles, white sand, black sand or rocks: there is something for everyone.
Sail towards the coves and beaches of Saint-Florent
Start your boat tour of the island to stop off at Lotu Beach in the Agriates Desert and then continue your sea trip to Saleccia Beach. Both are considered to be the most beautiful beaches in the region due to their turquoise and pure Caribbean waters, their long ribbon of white sand and their wild scenery.
The ideal way to discover the region is by boat since the most majestic beaches are accessible only by sea or by the customs path where you will have to walk for several hours.
For lovers of wilderness, the beaches of Ghignu and Mafalco will seduce you with their more intimate side, and small shelters on the beach called "paillets" will allow you to spend a paradisiac night on the heights of the beach.
A small paradise on earth, Saint-Flohire has festivals, vineyards and majestic beaches that have earned it the nickname "petit Saint-Tropez".
Sail to Bastia and Ile Rousse
Embark on a sailboat and sail a few miles from Saint-Flohire to explore Île Rousse, a warm destination to discover the small villages typical of the South.
Ashore, you can visit Paoli Square or stroll through the different districts (Corbara, Monticello, Pigna and Santa Reparata) to immerse yourself in the island's history. For the more sporty, water sports are planned off the fine sandy beaches with a sailing club, jet-ski or towed buoys on the programme.
If you have time, make a stopover in Bastia, the second largest city in Corsica and home to the island's main port, to delight boat lovers and admire the view of the wild cliffs.
