There is no airport on the island of Hvar and the closest airport is in Split. Therefore, the easiest way to reach the island is by taking the ferry from Split or other Croatian cities such as Dubrovnik. During high season there are multiple ferries a day going to Hvar island. In some cases, it could be easier to hire a boat from Split and head directly towards Hvar.
