A Unique Vacation on the Houseboat "Roma"
Dear guests, our modern, license-free houseboat "Roma", built in 2023, invites you to experience a one-of-a-kind getaway on the Mecklenburg Lake District.
The houseboat offers a spacious living and dining area, along with two bedrooms, accommodating up to 7 people (1 double bed, 1 bunk bed + 1 single bed, 1 double sofa bed in the salon). It features a fully equipped bathroom with a washbasin, shower, and toilet.
The kitchenette is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer compartment, stove with oven, and a dishwasher—everything you need for a relaxed cooking experience. Enjoy the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows while dining at the large table.
On sunny days, the spacious sun terrace with lounge furniture invites you to unwind. With just a few simple steps, a large sunshade can be extended over the terrace for shade. If the weather turns cooler, the heating system and a cozy gas fireplace ensure a warm and inviting (Contact information hidden).
Additionally, Wi-Fi and a large Smart TV are available for your convenience.
For a perfect BBQ evening, a grill is provided. You can also rent a stand-up paddleboard, canoe, electric dinghy, or bicycle from the harbor master for an additional fee. Please note: Dogs are not allowed on board.
Important Notes
Clearance height: 3.90 m (with the sunshade extended: 5.45 m). Please retract the sunshade before passing under bridges.
Minimum crew requirement: To maneuver, dock, anchor, and pass through locks, at least three adults (or two adults + one capable teenager) are required.
Weather restrictions: These houseboats are sensitive to wind. If winds reach Force 3 (from 12 km/h), the marina may prohibit departures to ensure safety.
Energy & Off-Grid Freedom
Our houseboats are equipped with a board battery, providing autonomous power for one night without shore power. The best part? You can anchor freely and fully enjoy the tranquility of nature—far from the hustle and bustle of marinas.
However, keep in mind:
After 24 hours at most, the battery will need fresh power from a marina. Otherwise, you'll not only hear annoying warning beeps, but critical systems like the bow and stern thrusters could fail—making maneuvering difficult.
Our tip: Be mindful of power usage and only use what's truly necessary—this way, your freedom on the water remains uninterrupted!
What are you waiting for?
Rent "Roma", step aboard, and set sail for your unforgettable houseboat vacation!
