Designed by Umberto Felci and built by Dufour Yachts in 2007, this Dufour 44 Performance is a sailboat that combines safety, comfort and sportiness. Manufactured under the most demanding standards, its construction category is oceanic and it is approved for a maximum of 12 passengers. With simple lines, its exterior design is elegant and sporty, with a wide bow free of obstacles, perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. Its bathtub is spacious, equipped with a table, speakers and hood, perfect to enjoy on summer days. Its interior is one of its strong points, very spacious and bright, with closets in all cabins and great stowage capacity. Versatile thanks to its 4 cabins and 2 bathrooms, it comfortably accommodates 8 people, while the convertible lounge table can accommodate 2 more passengers. The cabins have 2x1.50m beds and the height inside does not go below 1.90m, making it an interesting option even for the tallest. In its most technical aspect, the Dufour 44 Performance is a very competitive regatta cruiser, fast in all directions and wind conditions. Its track record is enviable, winning the Copa del Rey on two occasions, it accelerates at the slightest breath of air and its large wheel offers precision and excellent sensitivity, making even the most demanding people enjoy it. ABOUT THE CAPTAIN AND SHIPPER Knowing the skipper with whom you are going to share your leisure time is one of the most important questions, so I introduce myself: My name is Didac and I was born in Barcelona 39 years ago. I am a yacht captain and professional skipper in addition to being a technical mechanical industrial engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. I have 4 SCTW specialty professional certificates: basic safety training, GMDSS restricted operator, rescue boat training and initial specific health training. I have been a skipper since 2009, I have participated in numerous coastal and high altitude regattas and I am very knowledgeable about the Catalan coast and the Balearic Islands. I speak Spanish, Catalan, English and French and I combine my passion for the sea with traveling, having been to more than 40 countries and 4 continents. My dream is to one day sail around the world. I am professional, that means that I dedicate 100% of my time to sailing and personally taking care of the sailboat, both aesthetically and mechanically. Being an owner, I am interested in the smallest detail and after each reservation, I clean and disinfect the sailboat, both inside and on deck, guaranteeing a healthy Covid-Free space. I prepare all reservations in advance, to the taste of my clients, studying the meteorology in great detail and offering advice so that the experience is extraordinary. I fully insure the sailboat and its passengers with Pantaenius, the most serious nautical insurance underwriting company with the best coverage in the nautical sector. ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - Boarding times are at 10:00 am and disembarkation at approximately 7:00 pm; I am very flexible in this matter and I will attend to your requests. -If you want to spend the night on the sailboat, you must select a minimum of 2 days. -The sailboat is ready to go to the Balearic Islands; Taking into account that 2 days are spent between the round trip, I recommend a minimum of 5 days to go to Menorca or Mallorca and 7 for Ibiza and Formentera. -Yes, you can take the sailboat and you can learn as much as you want; I love to explain. -If we sail more than one day, except for safety reasons, I leave it up to my clients to spend the night anchored in a cove or moored in port. -My clients bring the food and drinks, there is a large refrigerator to keep it and a kitchen to cook it. I recommend simple food that does not require much preparation. Prepared food is a good option. -If it rains or there are clouds, the reserve remains firm. If there is a storm warning, you will know in advance and I will propose a change in the dates. Fabricado bajo los estándares más exigentes, su categoría de construcción es oceánica y está homologado para un máximo de 12 pasajer@s. De líneas simples, su diseño exterior es elegante y deportivo, con una proa amplia y libre de obstáculos, perfecta para relajarse y tomar el sol. Su bañera es espaciosa, equipada con mesa, altavoces y capota, perfecta para disfrutar en los días de verano. Su interior, es uno de sus puntos fuertes, muy espacioso y luminoso, con armarios en todas las cabinas y gran capacidad de estiba. Versátil gracias a sus 4 cabinas y 2 baños, alberga cómodamente a 8 personas, mientras que la mesa del salón convertible, puede acomodar a 2 pasajeros más. Los camarotes disponen de camas de 2x1.50m y la altura en el interior no baja de 1.90m, siendo una opción interesante incluso para los más altos. En su vertiente más técnica, el Dufour 44 Performance es un crucero regata muy competitivo, rápido en todos los rumbos y condiciones de viento. Su palmarés es envidiable, conquistando en dos ocasiones la Copa del Rey, acelera al más mínimo soplo de aire y su gran rueda, ofrece precisión y una sensibilidad excelente, haciendo disfrutar incluso a los más exigentes. La equipación es tan completa como puedas imaginar, cocina completísima, equipos de pesca (costa, altura, calamar), equipos de snorkel, paddle surf, cámara de fotos profesional, gopro, dron, juegos de mesa, Spotify, etc para convertir estos días en tus vacaciones inolvidables. SOBRE EL CAPITÁN Y ARMADOR Conocer al patrón con el que vais a compartir vuestro tiempo de ocio, es una de las cuestiones más importantes así que me presento: Me llamo Didac y soy nacido en Barcelona hace 39 años. Soy capitán de yate y patrón profesional además de ser ingeniero industrial técnico mecánico por la Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya. Dispongo de 4 certificados profesionales de especialidad SCTW: formación básica en seguridad, operador restringido del SMSSM, formación en botes de rescate y formación sanitaria específica inicial. Soy patrón desde 2009, he participado en numerosas regatas de costa y altura y soy muy buen conocedor de la costa catalana y de las Islas Baleares. Hablo castellano, catalán, inglés y francés y combino mi pasión por el mar con viajar, habiendo estado en más de 40 países y 4 continentes. Mi sueño es algún día, dar la vuelta al mundo a vela. Estoy profesionalizado, eso significa que dedico el 100% de mi tiempo a navegar y a cuidar personalmente el velero, tanto en aspecto estético como mecánico. Al ser propietario, me intereso por el más mínimo detalle y tras cada reserva, limpio y desinfecto el velero, tanto en interiores como cubierta, garantizando un espacio saludable Covid-Free. Preparo todas las reservas con antelación, al gusto de mis clientes, estudiando la meteorología muy al detalle y ofrezco consejos para que la experiencia sea extraordinaria. RESPUESTAS A PREGUNTAS FRECUENTES -Los horarios de embarque son a las 10:00am y desembarque 19:00 aproximadamente; soy muy flexible en esta cuestión y atenderé vuestras peticiones. -Si deseáis hacer noche en el velero, deberéis seleccionar mínimo 2 días. -El velero está preparado para ir a Baleares; teniendo en cuenta que se invierten 2 días entre ida/vuelta, recomiendo un mínimo de 5 días para ir a Menorca o Mallorca y 7 para Ibiza y Formentera. -Si, podréis llevar el velero y podréis aprender tanto como queráis; me encanta explicar. -Si navegamos más de un día, salvo por cuestiones de seguridad, dejo al gusto de mis clientes pasar la noche fondeados en una cala o amarrados en puerto. -La comida y bebida la traen mis clientes, hay una gran nevera para mantenerla y cocina para cocinarla. Recomiendo comida simple, que no requiera mucha elaboración. La comida preparada es una buena opción. -Si llueve o hay nubes, la reserva sigue firme. Si hay aviso de temporal, lo sabréis con antelación y os propondré un cambio en las fechas. Si no es posible de ningún modo, se os reembolsará el importe teniendo en cuenta el seguro elegido. -Mi teléfono os aparecerá una vez realizada la reserva y podremos confirmar personalmente todos los detalles, si mientras tanto tenéis otras dudas, estaré encantado de resolverlas a través del chat.
